Salary: Circa €100,000

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced legal professional to join a dynamic regulatory organisation operating within the Irish health sector.

This is a senior advisory role providing strategic legal and regulatory expertise across a broad range of operational, legislative and policy matters. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping regulatory frameworks, supporting organisational priorities and providing trusted legal counsel in a complex and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical, commercially focused legal and regulatory advice across a range of operational matters.
• Review regulatory reports, correspondence and enforcement-related issues.
• Lead and support legislative and policy development initiatives.
• Draft and review legislation, statutory instruments, policy papers and submissions.
• Monitor and interpret legal, regulatory and EU developments, providing clear guidance to stakeholders.
• Support strategic projects and regulatory reform programmes.
• Manage legal and regulatory workstreams from inception through to delivery.
• Act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership on regulatory and governance matters.

About You

You will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with significant post-qualification experience and a strong understanding of regulatory environments.

You will also bring:

• Experience providing legal advice within a regulatory, public sector, insurance, financial services or policy environment.
• Strong legislative drafting, statutory interpretation or policy development experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality advice in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• The confidence to operate independently and influence at senior level.

Experience within health insurance, healthcare regulation or a related regulated sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
