Job Summary
Key Client Engagement Engineers will be responsible for guiding, developing, and executing on the overall technical journey of Devo's key customer accounts and projects. Complementing the work of the Product Management team and Customer Success Team they will help our customers get maximum business value from their Devo implementation by technically guiding and optimizing their use of Devo's product suite. They will also help accelerate Devo's overall product growth agenda by driving the success of Engineering projects and initiatives, as well as cross-functional activities across the Sales, Pre-Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate Expert Devo Platform Mastery: Acquire and apply in-depth knowledge of the Devo Platform architecture, operating as an expert-level user and serving as a key organizational resource.
- Lead Engineering-Focused Client Communication: Represent Engineering in client meetings and manage specialized technical communication beyond standard department scope.
- Champion Customer Advocacy: Act as a strong advocate for customer needs within Engineering meetings, ensuring customer-centric solutions.
- Foster Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Build and maintain strong partnerships with Presales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Product teams, ensuring clear communication and transparency.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster and maintain robust partnerships with Presales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product, and Engineering teams, ensuring seamless communication, alignment, and transparency.
- Bridge Client Needs and Technical Solutions: Leverage a holistic understanding of the Devo Platform to translate complex client business requirements into specific, platform-integrated system solutions and provide crucial technical expertise to projects.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a technology or science-related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Technical Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as professional services implementation, software engineering, solutions engineering, technical account management, or technical project management.
- Data Proficiency: Proven experience in writing queries and working with big data environments. Experience with cybersecurity or enterprise log management products is highly preferred.
- Customer-Facing Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and effectively interact with clients. Proven ability to install and configure technology products for customers/clients.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to meet deadlines.
- Presentation Skills: Proficient and effective presentation skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Results-Oriented Mindset: Goal-oriented, with a pragmatic vision and a lean working methodology.
- Language Proficiency: Professional working proficiency in English.
Desired:
- Cloud and SaaS Experience: Experience with cloud ecosystems (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed component SaaS platforms.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, C, JavaScript, Python.
- Data Extraction and Parsing: Experience developing regular expressions for data extraction and parsing.
- Security and Log Management Tools: Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) products like Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, Chronicle, etc, is highly desirable.
- Data Visualization and Monitoring: Familiarity with data visualization and monitoring tools, such as Power BI, Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, etc.
- AWS Services: Experience with AWS services (S3, EBS, Lambda, CloudTrail, etc).
