We are a Dutch recruitment agency based in the Netherlands and we are preferred suppliers to big Banking organizations here.

For one of our giant client based in Amsterdam we are looking for a Senior Java developer.

36-40 hours

2-3 year project

The project and the responsibilities:

The team is responsible for maintenance and end-to-end delivery of eight BFFs (Backend for Frontend), most of which are on Azure, while some are on-prem applications. In addition, there are various compliance-related tasks that the teams are working on, many of which have strict deadlines. For example, a bank-wide Developer Dashboard has been published, which the Management Team (MT) regularly reviews for any non-compliance. The team is expected to consistently demonstrate progress in addressing such issues.

• Keep the components up to date with the latest standards in the bank.
• Migrate to the latest in bank.
• Development of APIs (APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACES)
• Implement new features.

Skillset:

Must have:

• Experience on Java 11,17 and Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with Cloud Technologies including Monitoring and infra as a code (IaC).
• Experience on any Testing frameworks (Unit and Integration testing).
• Experience on building CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps).
• Decent communication skills (you can communicate about technical decisions with less technical people).

Good to have:

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with API (APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACES) design.
• Understanding of the concepts used in App development (app team).
• You will work closely with colleagues from the target group selection team, recovery managers, and colleagues working in the diagnosis and design phases.
• You are involved in drawing up the requirements for target group selection and contribute to this based on your expertise as a test specialist.
• For each target group selection, you determine the test approach, prepare and then execute the test, and record the results.
• You perform peer reviews on the products of your fellow test specialists.
• You provide well-founded release advice and identify any residual risks when putting the target group selection into production.
• One technical interview (60 min Teams chat) and one softs skills (20 mins).
