Senior IT Security Engineer Dublin (Hybrid) Location: Dublin (Hybrid -3 days onsite) €85-95k DOE with bonus & benefits

A leading organisation in Dublin is looking to appoint a Senior IT Security Engineer to play a key role in shaping and delivering its cyber security strategy.
Over the past couple of years they've invested heavily in modernising their environment, rolling out technologies such as Intune, NAC, SSO and network segmentation, while continuing their move from a largely on-prem Microsoft estate into Azure.
There are still plenty of projects ahead, so it's a genuine opportunity to influence the direction of the security function.
They're looking for someone who has progressed from an infrastructure or Microsoft engineering background into security, with experience across areas such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint security and security engineering.
They're far more interested in someone's technical capability and problem-solving approach than whether they've used every technology in their environment.
The role reports directly to the CISO within a close-knit team of five, giving you real exposure to security strategy while remaining hands-on technically.
What We're Looking For- 8+ years' IT experience with at least 4 years in cyber security.
- Strong background in infrastructure, systems or cloud engineering before moving into security.
- Expertise across Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID/Azure.
- Good understanding of networking, firewalls, secure architecture and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience delivering enterprise security projects and implementing security controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
