- Pay Rate: Depends on Experience
- Type & Duration: Contract |12 Months Contract with InsideIR35
Job Description:
Role Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a NetDevOps mindset to design, build, and evolve large-scale enterprise network platforms. This is a "build and delivery" role, not an operations or SRE position. The successful candidate will integrate automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) into traditional network engineering to support critical, hybrid-cloud services.
Key Technical Requirements (Priority Criteria):
Candidates must demonstrate deep, hands-on experience in:
- Enterprise Network Engineering: Complex OSPF/BGP environments and designing resilient traffic flows.
- Security & Firewalls: Extensive experience with Palo Alto (policy design/implementation) and Zero Trust principles.
- Data Centre Architecture: VXLAN/EVPN, VRF segmentation, and multi-site fabrics (Arista or equivalent).
- Load Balancing: F5 BIG-IP (LTM/APM/ASM).
- NetDevOps & Automation: Moving away from manual CLI; proficiency in Python, Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Cloud/Hybrid Networking: Proven experience integrating local data centres with Azure, AWS, or OCI.
Experience Profile:
- Engineer vs. Operator: We need a "builder" who can contribute to design and delivery immediately with minimal ramp-up.
- Environment: Experience in large-scale, complex, or regulated enterprise environments.
Desirable Extras:
- Aruba Central/ClearPass, SD-WAN, or experience modernizing Legacy environments.
What This Role Is NOT:
- Not a pure Operations/Monitoring role.
- Not a standard SRE role (requires deep networking depth).
- Not an Incident Management role.
