Job Description

A leading international law firm is looking for a skilled Senior Lawyer to join their expanding procurement legal team. This is perfect for an experienced commercial contracts specialist who is eager to play a pivotal part in the strategic development of a global procurement service. You will be joining a centralised function that underpins the firms operations, working closely with both legal and commercial colleagues to ensure robust contracting processes and effective supplier relationships.

What You'll Do:

As a Senior In-House Commercial Lawyer, you will immerse yourself in:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad spectrum of commercial and technology contracts, including high-value and complex bespoke agreements tailored to business needs.
  • Collaborating closely with procurement teams and internal stakeholders to secure favourable contract terms while ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
  • Providing expert legal guidance on data privacy matters within contracts, such as data processing agreements and cross-border data transfers, safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within contracting procedures, policies, and standards to enhance efficiency, consistency, and value delivery.

You have the opportunity to work 3 days in the office and 2 from home, ensuring you have the flexibility for your life outside of work and can maintain a cohesive dynamic with your team.

What You Bring:

Joining as the Senior In-House Lawyer, you will have:

  • Admission in England & Wales with at least 5 PQE, ideally gained through significant in-house roles within commercial environments.
  • Extensive expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, including technology agreements.
  • A comprehensive understanding of commercial law principles including contract law, data protection regulations (such as GDPR), and risk management frameworks relevant to procurement activities.
  • Experience contributing to or leading process improvement initiatives within legal or contracting operations; openness to new ideas is essential for this evolving team environment.

The Company:

This international firm has massive growth plans and stands out for its culture built around continuous improvement, personal growth, and genuine collaboration. Here you'll find encouragement at every step: whether you're seeking professional development opportunities or looking for ways your voice can shape future strategy. The result is a workplace where people feel empowered-and inspired-to deliver exceptional results while enjoying meaningful connections with colleagues from all walks of life.
