Senior IDMS DBA (2 Positions Available)

RedCarpet is looking for two experienced Senior IDMS DBAs on behalf of an international client operating in a highly regulated and security-sensitive environment.

Are you an experienced IDMS Database Administrator with a strong background in Mainframe technologies? Do you enjoy working in mission-critical environments where reliability, continuity, and performance are key? Then this could be an excellent opportunity.

About the Role

As a Senior IDMS DBA, you will be responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of a critical IDMS environment. You will work closely with technical and functional teams to ensure the stability and availability of business-critical systems while contributing to ongoing improvements and change initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining the IDMS database environment.
• Supporting business-critical applications running on IDMS.
• Troubleshooting complex incidents and performance issues.
• Performing database changes and supporting release activities.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring platform stability, availability, and performance.
• Participating in an on-call support rotation.
• Supporting change activities that may occasionally take place during evenings or weekends.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience as an IDMS DBA within Mainframe environments.
• Strong knowledge of CA IDMS.
• Experience with database administration, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of IBM z/OS and related Mainframe technologies.
• Experience working in complex enterprise or mission-critical environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Eligibility Requirements

• Candidates must be citizens of a NATO member country.
• Ability to work within Europe.
