Senior HR Advisor - Dublin - Permanent - Hybrid Working

Purpose of the Role

We are hiring a Senior HR Advisor as part of dentsu in Dublin. This role would suit a strong Senior HR Generalist who enjoys balancing hands on HR operations with more strategic advisory work. It offers the opportunity to deepen business partnering skills by supporting People Leaders, contributing to people planning, using data to inform decisions, and helping to shape engagement and culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a senior point of expertise for People Leaders, providing timely, professional and pragmatic guidance across a broad range of people matters.
  • Partner collaboratively with HR colleagues, HR operations, centres of expertise and specialist teams to deliver a seamless, high-quality HR service across Dentsu Ireland.
  • Provide proactive and accurate HR support across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, absence, performance, family leave, contractual changes, leavers and general HR queries.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for HR operational matters, ensuring queries are resolved efficiently, consistently and in line with policy, process and employment legislation.
  • Support the Senior HR Business Partner with people priorities, contributing insight, recommendations and practical solutions based on business understanding, people data and HR experience.
  • Lead and support employee relations cases, including performance, disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and conduct matters, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Coaching and guiding managers through HR and ER processes, helping them build confidence, make informed decisions and address people matters effectively.
  • Identify themes, risks and trends from HR activity and ER cases, escalating concerns and recommending preventative or corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Build trusted and influential relationships across the business by being responsive, commercially aware, people-focused and consistent in approach.
  • Prepare, analyse and interpret people data and HR reports, using metrics such as absence, turnover, engagement, performance, ER activity and retention to support evidence-based decision making.
  • Translate people data into clear insights, recommendations and practical actions for People Leaders and the Senior HR Business Partner.
  • Support employee engagement and culture initiatives across Dentsu Ireland, helping to create a positive, inclusive, collaborative and high performing working environment.
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen employee experience, wellbeing, retention, team connection and manager capability.
  • Support and, where appropriate, lead HR projects and cyclical people processes, including performance reviews, talent activity, engagement planning, policy implementation and organisational change initiatives.
  • Champion continuous improvement, positive change and a solutions focused approach, identifying opportunities to simplify HR processes, improve ways of working and enhance the employee and manager experience.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Significant proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor / Generalist or similar role, with strong knowledge of the full employee lifecycle.
  • Strong HR operational experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, timely and high quality support.
  • Experience advising managers on employee relations, performance, absence, engagement and general people matters.
  • Confidence to provide practical, informed and balanced advice to People Leaders, with the judgement to know when to elevate.
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to influence, coach and support managers in a credible and constructive way.
  • A collaborative team player who works well across HR and the wider business.
  • Positive, optimistic and solutions focused attitude, with the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong interest in employee engagement, culture development and creating a positive colleague experience.
  • Strong analytical capability, including confidence working with people data, HR reporting and Excel.
  • Sound understanding of HR policies, employment legislation and good practice.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified, working towards qualification, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
