Location: Shockerwick House Care Home, Lower Shockerwick, Bath BA1 7LL

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Hours: 32 hours over 4 shifts per week (working days are negotiable)

Salary: £13.40 to £14.40 per hour (dependent on experience)

This role requires you to have your own transport due to the home's location.

Responsibilities

• Always ensuring high standards of cleanliness within the home.
• Working closely with maintenance and management to keep all rooms well looked after.
• Leading by example - vacuuming, mopping floors, polishing and maintaining communal areas and resident bedrooms.
• Supervising housekeeping and laundry assistants; managing staff rotas, training, and ensuring supplies are stocked.
• Designing and executing cleaning plans that meet the needs of residents with different care requirements.
• Communicating with residents, families and other care team members to address cleanliness and safety concerns.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in a housekeeping role, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate a team.
• Capacity to work independently and to prioritise and delegate tasks.
• An approachable and caring nature, with a genuine interest in resident well being.
