About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the HR Systems and Reporting team as the Senior HESA Data Analyst. The role involves developing and enhancing the University's process for the staff Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) return, collaborating with colleagues across HR and planning to ensure accurate data collection. As an analytical self-starter, you will be interested in solving problems, identifying trends, and providing insights. We are at the beginning of our HR System Implementation project, and this role offers a chance to be part of that journey.

Working with the HR Systems & Reporting team, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing the collection of data for statutory returns, including HESA.
  2. Enhancing the process and data quality.
  3. Executing and submitting the return.
  4. Analyzing data for trends, insights, and benchmarking.
  5. Supporting the HR System Implementation project as needed.
About you

You should be an analytical self-starter with an interest in solving problems, discovering trends, and providing insights.

With effective planning and organizational skills, you will manage your workload efficiently and leverage your knowledge and experience of the HESA staff return or similar processes to complete submissions accurately and on time.
