OverviewWGNSTAR is a dynamic company focused on the semiconductor industry. The role provides health and safety guidance, auditing, and training to operators and technicians in a semiconductor cleanroom environment, supporting the Customer in key areas throughout the manufacturing process. The focus is on adhering to facility standard operating procedures with emphasis on safety and quality.
Responsibilities- Implement the Customer's Ireland EHS program at site level: leadership engagement, customer EHS point of contact, deliver instructor-led Life Saving Rules training, monitor EHS KPIs, establish key safety focus areas for site.
- Manage and interpret EHS-related documentation, including the Customer's safety documentation & procedures, safety indicators (leading/lagging), incident logs (near miss/good catch, injury, and environment).
- Perform thorough incident investigations to ensure corrective actions are put in place to prevent recurrence.
- Provide sustaining support for the field operations team (safety review board support, permit to work reviews, etc.).
- Create and distribute toolbox talks, safety communications, and informational presentations; engage with site management.
- Conduct in-fab GEMBA walks (behavioral safety observations) in partnership with operations teams.
- Collaborate with the customer on safety program initiatives.
- Work with EU EHS Manager to address Top-X structural safety issues and track progress.
- Relevant qualification in EHS / Safety Management or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in an EHS environment
- Knowledge of a Semiconductor Manufacturing Environment is a plus
- Experience implementing an EHS Management System - procedures, training and coaching to ensure compliance
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Flexibility to travel on short-term assignments related to the role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a controlled cleanroom environment, including gowning and PPE
- 100% compliance with all safety and protocol specifications and regulations
- Strong physical stamina to stand, stoop, walk, and reach for the duration of the working day (breaks excluded)
