Job Description

We are expanding our Finance Team with an ambitious, business-minded and motivated Senior GL Accountant based in our Finance Center of Excellence in Lisbon. You will be primarily responsible for the GL accounting and tax compliance for the Portuguese subsidiary working closely with other GL accounting and controlling resources. You will also secondarily support other countries.


You will have a wide range of responsibilities including:

  • General Accounting activities, including monthly close.
  • Supporting cash reconciliation, treasury management, and payment processes.
  • Assisting with supplier invoice processing.
  • Performing balance sheet reviews.
  • Supporting statutory, financial, and tax audits.
  • Contributing to process optimization, automation initiatives, and strengthening internal controls

We prefer you to have:

  • Minimum 5 years' accounting experience in an international context.
  • Excellent level of English.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication (written and verbal).
  • Strong ERP skills (Business Central will be a plus).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work confidently with large datasets, complex models, and data analysis.
  • High discipline and structure in working with data.
  • High sense of detail and overview.
  • Ability to learn, adapt and develop quickly.
