Senior Front End Software Engineer (React)
Salary: up to £85,000
Location: Fully remote (UK, EU, or North America time zones)
We're hiring a Senior Front End Software Engineer to join a fast-growing startup in the sustainability and renewables space.
The business is in an accelerated build phase, scaling both its customer-facing and internal platforms. This role will play a key part in shaping the web and mobile experiences that sit on top of a growing data and intelligence platform.
You'll work closely with product, design, and Back End engineering to build high-quality, scalable Front End systems, with real influence over architecture, UX, and technical direction.

You'll work closely with product, design, and Back End engineering to build high-quality, scalable Front End systems, with real influence over architecture, UX, and technical direction.
The role
- Build and maintain performant web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS and shadcn
- Develop reusable components and Front End architecture to support a growing product ecosystem
- Lead implementation of the design system and UX layer in partnership with design
- Collaborate closely with Back End and full-stack engineers to integrate with platform services
- Contribute to and support a React Native mobile application as part of a unified Front End team
- Balance rapid MVP delivery with scalable, maintainable engineering practices
- 5+ years' professional experience in Front End engineering
- Strong experience with React and TypeScript in production environments
- Hands-on experience with React, Next.js, TailwindCSS and component-based architectures
- Solid understanding of state management, responsive design, and performance optimisation
- Exposure to data visualisation tools such as D3.js, Recharts, or Mapbox
- Comfortable working in a remote, distributed team with a high degree of autonomy
- Experience with React Native and cross-platform design systems
- Familiarity with Supabase or similar Back End-as-a-service platforms
- Background building data-heavy or analytics-focused interfaces
