Working Hours and LocationWe are based in the UK with employees working remotely and hybrid depending on the team. For this full-time role, you can work hybrid or remote, the ideal candidate will be able to attend our central Bristol office location on a weekly basis.
You can ask us about the best working hours and work setup in the interview if there's something that's important to you. We try to be as flexible as possible.
All we ask is that everyone is online between our core hours of 10:00-16:00 (UK time) so that everyone overlaps for the majority of the day, it's up to you and your manager to find the right schedule that works for you and your team.
Role Importance, Responsibilities and ImpactWhat you will be doing:
- Leading our Component library migration and technical updates
- Maintaining our front-end systems and architecture
- Supporting the rest of the team with front-end best practices
- Building new features across our suite of applications
- Working primarily with Vue.js and Tailwind
- Code reviews to provide technical oversight of the front-end
- Improving application accessibility
Within one month you will .
- Actively contribute towards the development of new features
- Begin learning the system architecture
- Learn the workflow processes
- Contribute towards the migration of our components to Vue 3
Within three months you will .
- Begin contributing to bug fixes and support requests
- Move the component library into its own repo and take ownership of it
Within six months you will .
- Improve the developer experience and implementation of our component library
- Begin implementing technical improvements, such as adding a unit testing suite
- Lead discussions about what future technical upgrades we should be considering
