A leading UK environmental consultancy is hiring a Senior Flood Risk and Hydraulic Modelling Consultant to join its growing Water team. This is a technical delivery role with real responsibility. You'll lead fluvial and pluvial modelling, produce Flood Risk Assessments, and support complex developments across property, renewables, and aviation.
What you'll be doing- Developing and running hydraulic models using Flood Modeller Pro and TUFLOW
- Producing and reviewing FRAs
- Supporting projects through planning and DCO regimes
- Liaising directly with the Environment Agency
- Identifying flood risk constraints and mitigation solutions
- Communicating results clearly to clients and project teams
- 4+ years' experience in flood risk and hydraulic modelling
- Strong knowledge of NPPF and flood policy
- Confident model development, troubleshooting, and interpretation
- EA engagement experience
- GIS and AutoCAD skills
- Clear, concise technical reporting
