London £84,200 - £99,000 + incentive awards tied to your performance.

Our Finance Team

Our Finance team is growing and we are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the Commercial finance team. You will work in a team that manages the P&L and Balance Sheet to deliver the financial plan, help the business to make strategic financial decisions, challenge to improve performance, and own the end to end financials and financial controls for your business area. The role covers all aspects of financial performance and planning.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the single point of contact between the business and finance, working with senior leaders to drive commercial projects, analyze performance of existing products, and provide day to day support.
  • Dive deep into data to identify trends, opportunities, and stories that can be used to improve profitability and growth.
  • Analyze and scope new markets and products, design commercials for business cases, and negotiate with partners.
  • Present ideas and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including engineering, legal, risk management, product, strategy, and marketing.
  • Design and build new processes for effective decision making as Monzo scales up.
  • Maintain strong finance professional engagement with day to day finance activities such as forecasting, results analysis, and product change proposals.
  • Support the development of a highly competent and motivated team of financial analysts with clear objectives for ongoing development.
We'd Love to Hear From You If You
  • Have demonstrable experience in financial business partnering with senior business leaders, driving commercial, revenue generating projects, evaluating business cases, and influencing decisions.
  • Are comfortable navigating highly complex fields of financial services, breaking down problems into manageable chunks, and working through them.
  • Hold strong financial modelling skills (advanced Excel/Google Sheets) and are comfortable pulling data using SQL/Python.
  • Have great analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, issues, and recommend actions.
  • Have strong interpersonal and influencing skills, engaging across internal functions to develop, gain buy in, and deliver outcomes.
  • Can confidently present data in a meaningful and effective way, tailoring presentations to the needs of end users.
  • Have experience building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Have experience building business cases, presenting, and debating investment choices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be hands on and enjoy supporting colleagues, projects, or tasks of all sizes.
  • Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills, able to develop new processes and streamline existing ones to create efficiencies.
