The Senior Executive Quantity Surveyor leads the commercial, cost-management, and procurement functions across capital projects, ensuring high-quality, timely, and compliant delivery in line with the Public Works Contracts and the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF). The role involves managing in-house quantity surveying teams, external consultants, and acting as a key commercial advisor to senior management.

Main Duties of the Job

Project Responsibility- Directs and manages Quantity Surveying Staff and consultant Quantity Surveying firm's teams across multiple projects.

Setting Performance Targets - Establishes goals, timelines, and performance expectations to ensure timely project delivery.

Staff Management - Motivates teams, fosters strong working relationships, responsible for staff performance and ensures effective internal operations.

Deputising - Acts for the Assistant Chief Quantity Surveyor as directed.

Full Quantity Surveying Service Delivery

Cost Planning - Produces Estimates Bills of Quantities, Pricing Schedules, Cost Plans etc. , within commercial reports.

Tender Procedure - Prepares Tender Documents using Cubit, Buildsoft or equivalent estimation software, in line with ARM and ICMS.

Contract Administration - Manages commercial aspects from project inception to final account, including administering various contract mechanisms such as evaluation of change events and payment claim process.

Salary Scale effective from 1st June 2026:

Hours of attendance will be fixed from time to time but will amount to not less than 35 hours gross per week.

The annual leave allowance for the position of Senior Executive Quantity Surveyor is 30 days.
