Senior Environmental Protection Officer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Protection Officer to join our client on a 6-month full-time contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the protection and improvement of environmental quality, supporting regulatory compliance and community wellbeing. Responsibilities

• Undertake a varied caseload of environmental protection work, including the investigation and resolution of statutory nuisance complaints such as noise, odour, smoke, and other environmental impacts.
• Carry out site inspections, gather evidence, liaise with residents and businesses, and take appropriate enforcement action where necessary.
• Possess a strong understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to manage complex casework independently.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant qualification in Environmental Health, Acoustics, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in environmental protection, particularly in nuisance investigation and enforcement.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
