Senior Engineer

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Engineer to join its growing Sustainable Transport team.

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil/Transportation Engineer to work on a strong pipeline of active travel, sustainable transport, urban street and public realm projects across Ireland. You'll have the opportunity to lead projects from early planning and preliminary design through to detailed design and construction.

Projects:

• Active travel and cycle infrastructure schemes
• Greenways and sustainable transport projects
• Bus priority and public transport schemes
• Urban road and street improvement projects
• Public realm and urban regeneration schemes
• Major multidisciplinary transportation projects

Role:

• Lead the design and delivery of sustainable transportation projects
• Manage projects from planning through to detailed design and construction
• Prepare preliminary and detailed civil/transportation designs
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and sub-consultants
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and project stakeholders

Requirements:

• Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years' experience in transportation/civil engineering
• Strong experience delivering active travel, urban street or sustainable transport projects
• Good knowledge of DMURS, National Cycle Manual, Traffic Signs Manual and TII standards
• Experience in civil and highway geometric design
• Traffic modelling experience using LINSIG, Junctions 9, VISSIM or similar advantageous
• Strong project management, client-facing and stakeholder management skills

Salary:

• €65k - 80k (depending on experience) + Bonus / profit-sharing scheme
