Introduction

Thames Water is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our top Electrical Engineering team in the Above Ground Engineering division. This role is vital for achieving our AMP7 ambitions and future projects. As a key contributor to Electrical Engineering design, you will:

  1. Define technical requirements in project briefs.
  2. Ensure compliance with regulations for electrical assets.
  3. Review and approve electrical designs.
  4. Enhance Technical Asset Standards for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather correct technical requirements in project briefs.
  • Review and approve electrical designs as appropriate.
  • Input and improve Technical Asset Standards.

This role is based at Hampton Coal Wharf with a hybrid working model. You must attend the office and sites as needed.

Hours: 36 hours/week, Monday to Friday.

Requirements: Must be a driver with access to a car; role includes a car allowance.

Candidate Requirements
  • Degree level or equivalent, likely with professional chartered status or working towards it.
  • Experience in electrical engineering design, including technical problem-solving, creativity, and innovation.
  • Understanding of technology to improve solutions and safety.
  • Ability to address discrepancies in documentation promptly.
  • Extensive experience in High Voltage and Low Voltage Systems, preferably within the water industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment compliance.
