Job Description

This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of seven years' experience. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a diverse range of projects across the renewable energy, circular economy, and civil infrastructure sectors. This is a permanent role with excellent career progression.

Responsibilities
  • Managing individual contracts to ensure the delivery of high quality ecological consultancy services
  • Providing specialist ecological advice across a variety of projects
  • Planning, conducting and overseeing site ecological surveys and fieldwork
  • Preparing and supervising the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
  • Conducting Appropriate Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other environmental reports
  • Writing detailed technical reports and other project deliverables
  • Ensuring quality control with a strong focus on accuracy, timelines, and continuous improvement of the Ecology team's output
  • Acting as expert witness during Oral Hearings
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and participating in meetings with clients and design teams as needed
Skills / Qualifications
  • Degree in ecology or related discipline
  • At least seven years of post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy
  • Member of CIEEM, CIWEM or comparable professional body
  • Experienced in participating in oral hearing process and serving as an expert witness
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation
  • Strong technical report writing skills
  • Proven experience in preparing and overseeing the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
  • Experienced in collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills
  • Holds a full, clean driver's licence
