The successful candidate will act as the senior subject matter expert for CRO at Musgrave, partnering closely with Online, Product, UX and Technology teams to ensure that digital journeys are continuously optimised based on evidence, not opinion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take senior ownership of conversion performance across key digital journeys (e.g. browse to basket, checkout, sign up and engagement).
  • Define and monitor conversion health metrics across brands, platforms, devices and customer segments.
  • Identify and size high value conversion opportunities aligned to commercial objectives.
Advanced Insight & Diagnosis
  • Use GA4 and Google BigQuery to diagnose friction and failure points within customer journeys.
  • Perform advanced analysis combining digital analytics data with broader customer, transactional and behavioural datasets.
  • Lead deep dive behavioural analysis by mission, loyalty segment, channel and device.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
  • Design and lead a structured, best practice experimentation and optimisation programme.
  • Develop clear hypotheses and prioritised CRO roadmaps based on value and feasibility.
  • Ensure experiments are statistically robust, well governed and clearly interpreted.
  • Embed learnings into ongoing product and experience design standards.
  • Quantify incremental revenue, conversion uplift and experience value delivered through CRO initiatives.
  • Track benefits realisation and produce clear, executive ready reporting on outcomes achieved.
  • Influence digital investment decisions through evidence based insight.
  • Act as the senior CRO advisor across Online, Digital, Trading and Technology teams.
  • Partner with Product, UX and Engineering to turn insight into delivered change.
  • Work with IT and data teams to ensure appropriate tagging, data quality and governance (without owning platform operations).
  • Provide coaching and thought leadership on CRO and experimentation best practice across the organisation.
What we're looking for
  • 3-5 years' experience in Digital Analytics, Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO), eCommerce Performance or related digital optimisation roles, with significant hands on experience in large scale consumer digital environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in conversion, engagement and commercial performance through data driven optimisation initiatives.
  • Advanced expertise in GA4, Google BigQuery and digital analytics tools, with the ability to analyse complex customer journey and behavioural data.
  • Strong experience designing, managing and interpreting A/B and multivariate testing programmes using recognised experimentation methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear commercial recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross functionally with Product, UX, Engineering and Digital teams to deliver customer experience improvements.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce customer journeys, digital product optimisation and online retail performance metrics.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving evidence based decision making in matrix organisations.
  • Familiarity with data governance, tagging strategies and digital measurement frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Retail, grocery, loyalty or omnichannel customer experience experience would be advantageous.
  • Career Development: With a commitment to your personal and professional growth, Musgrave offers numerous opportunities for advancement and learning.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a passionate team, where your contributions will make a significant impact
  • Innovation Focus: Be part of a company that values forward thinking solutions
