Senior DevOps Engineer - OmniPay Platform

Location: Dublin (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to support a large-scale OmniPay payment processing platform, a global multi-currency and multi-country acquiring system designed for high-volume transaction processing.

This role involves managing and scaling cloud-native infrastructure that supports critical payment switching, merchant acquiring, and Real Time transaction processing systems.

You will work in a fast-paced fintech environment ensuring high availability, security, and operational stability of a global payment platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and scale cloud-native infrastructure supporting the OmniPay acquiring platform.

  • Build and optimize Kubernetes environments using modern DevOps and GitOps practices.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting payment processing integrations.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and SaltStack.

  • Ensure platform reliability through monitoring, observability, and automation.

  • Support 24/7 global payment processing systems with high availability and performance requirements.

  • Collaborate with development and platform teams to enhance deployment and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering/Platform Engineering.

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • Kubernetes

    • Docker

    • Terraform

    • Argo CD

    • CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or SaltStack.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and infrastructure automation.

  • Experience working with high-availability enterprise platforms.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting OmniPay or payment processing platforms.

  • Exposure to merchant acquiring, card processing, or fintech systems.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

  • Familiarity with GitOps practices and containerized environments.

Work Model

  • Hybrid working model - 2 days onsite per week in Dublin.
