About the roleOnyx BMS is an end-to-end, next-generation Bodyshop Management System, meticulously designed by repair professionals for automotive repair experts. As part of Activate Group, Onyx BMS leverages the resources and reach of one of the UK's leading accident management providers, serving tens of thousands of motor claims every year for top insurers, brokers, and fleet operators. Onyx BMS empowers repair businesses of every size to deliver seamless operations through centralised, cloud-based multi-site management, advanced automations, and real-time data insights, offering next-generation solutions for bodyshops and vehicle repair networks.

- Full ownership of infrastructure and pipelines across Oracle Cloud and Azure
- Plan and execute infrastructure roadmaps with CTO and teams
- Automate operational workflows ensuring scalability and security
- Produce architecture and environment documentation
- Collaborate with leadership on technical updates and cost control and reporting
- Drive infrastructure innovation and operational excellence
- You'll mature, own and be accountable for establishing a low noise low pain infrastructure upon which the business can depend
- Kubernetes config, security, reliability, scaling and automated deployments
- Oracle Cloud and Azure and security best practise in those environments
- Terraform
- Azure DevOps pipelines and deployment automation
- Container build and hardening
- Automation for certificate renewals, cost reporting, BC/DR planning
- Observability tooling and alerting (Grafana, Elastic Prometheus)
- Linux system administration
- Networking, routing, load balancing, IPv4/IPv6, VPC, VPNs, fwd/rev proxies
- 3+ years in senior DevOps role owning business-critical SaaS infrastructure
- 6+ years total DevOps/infrastructure automation experience
- End-to-end infrastructure ownership and automation
- Familiarity C4 architecture diagrams and environment documentation
- Integration, documentation and compliance in security-focused environments
- Hands-on with OCI and Azure (1+ years each)
- Proven ADO pipeline ownership and enhancement
- Container orchestration expertise (Kubernetes)
- Security and compliance
- Strong BC/DR planning, documentation and testing experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Production of roadmaps for platform enhancements including estimating
- Practical AI workload deployment knowledge in SaaS
- RabbitMQ and MySQL
- Data storage management, cloud backup/restore, GDPR
- Familiar with C#/.NET ecosystems with web and/or Blazor front-ends
- AI/ML deployment experience with AI infrastructure orchestration
- Third-party SaaS integration support experience
- PCI DSS
- Mentoring junior DevOps staff
