The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a Senior Delivery Consultant (DevOps) to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet technical requirements and business objectives. You will be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, you will architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions, gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose migration strategies to AWS. You will lead the implementation process, ensure adherence to best practices, optimize performance, and manage risks throughout the project.
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team that helps customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives, delivering guidance through our global specialty practices across various solutions, technologies, and industries.
This is a customer-facing role. You will be required to travel to UK client locations (3-4 days on customer site per week) to deliver professional services.
UK Government Security Clearance is required for this role. UK Nationality is required for this role.
Responsibilities- Solutions - work with customers to solve problems and identify opportunities. Define and deliver on-site technical engagements with partners and customers. Understand customer security and compliance requirements, propose and deliver security offerings, and help build bespoke security solutions to fit customers' needs.
- Expertise - operate within enterprise security programs and develop a security model in the AWS cloud (identity and access management, logging and monitoring, infrastructure security, data protection, and incident response).
- Delivery - frequently visit customers to deliver projects that demonstrate AWS services and security technology to support information security in the cloud. Assist with migrating existing applications or developing new applications using AWS services.
- Insights - collaborate with AWS engineering, support, and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.
- Practice Development - contribute to knowledge sharing by developing tools, services, and artefacts that help others build on your work.
- Working backwards from desired customer outcomes to design and deliver technical solutions.
- Working on projects with autonomy and discretion.
- Advising customers on how to implement solutions.
- Assisting customers with building proofs of concept and implementing AWS services.
- Collaborating with Sales and AWS Service Teams.
- Researching, validating, and beta testing new AWS services.
- Presenting workshops one-to-one or one-to-many.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional/military experience.
- Experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture.
- Experience in consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions.
- Experience in software development with an object-oriented language.
- Experience in cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), as well as systems, networks, and operating systems.
- Experience in external or internal customer-facing, complex, large-scale project management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies.
