Working out of a flagship facility for a renowned global vehicle manufacturer, this position covers everything from complex electronic diagnostics to major powertrain overhauls.   • Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + uncapped monthly efficiency bonus (An active MOT Tester licence is a strong asset and secures a higher basic salary band!)

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform heavy mechanical work, including timing chain/belt renewals, engine teardowns, gearbox swaps, and clutch rebuilds
  • Harness brand-specific diagnostic software to systematically identify electronic, network, and mechanical faults
  • Carry out routine maintenance, warranty work, and comprehensive vehicle health checks (VHC) to manufacturer standards
  • Record thorough technical updates on digital job cards and communicate clearly with service advisors
  • Maintain flawless workshop cleanliness, tool upkeep, and adherence to safety protocols
Candidate Profile
  • Technical Expertise: Proven background in in-depth mechanical repair and structured diagnostic troubleshooting
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served credential)
  • MOT Status: Valid MOT Tester status is desirable for an increased initial pay rate, but not essential to apply
  • Mindset: Precision-focused professional committed to clean work practices and right-first-time quality
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
