We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our fantastic team. This is a hybrid position, working at least 2 days a week in our London Office.

About the role
This is a new role in a growing team at the heart of Cognita's data transformation. You'll lead the design and architecture of data pipelines and integrations while remaining hands-on in delivery.

Working with in-house data experts, regional stakeholders, and strategic partners, you'll build and optimise data pipelines on our Azure platform to power analytics, dashboards, and AI. You'll also help drive our move to a modern Lakehouse architecture with Databricks and Delta/ Iceberg Table format, and help shape our future integration strategy. Who we are looking for:
You have strong SQL and Python skills, solid data engineering fundamentals, and experience delivering pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Data Lake Gen2 is beneficial, as is exposure to Databricks, Delta Lake, Iceberg, CI/CD, Power BI, or middleware/integration tools. Above all, you can deliver reliable, well-documented data solutions and thrive in collaborative, agile teams.
