Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analytics & Power BI Analyst to lead data-driven workforce planning and financial analytics at our client in the Hague. This role centers on advanced data manipulation, integration, and interpretation to deliver strategic insights that drive business decisions.


You will be responsible for managing complex datasets from multiple sources, creating automated analytics workflows, and developing dynamic (Power BI) dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights into workforce metrics and financial performance. Your expertise will directly influence workforce strategy by enabling accurate forecasting, cost analysis, and predictive analytics.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Advanced Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Extract, clean, transform, and integrate large datasets from internal HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors), finance platforms, and external labour market sources to enable comprehensive analysis.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain robust (Power BI) dashboards and reports to visualize workforce and financial data with high accuracy and user accessibility.
  • Utilize advanced Excel techniques including automation, macros, and complex formulas to complement data workflows.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in workforce supply, demand, cost drivers, and financial performance.
  • Implement predictive analytics models to forecast workforce needs, turnover risks, skill gaps, and financial impacts.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, concise insights and recommendations tailored for both technical and business stakeholders.


2. Financial Analytics & Workforce Planning Integration

  • Collaborate closely with Finance, HR and Strategic Workforce Planning teams to align workforce data analytics with budgeting, headcount, and cost management processes.
  • Support labour cost forecasting and scenario modelling by integrating workforce metrics with financial data.
  • Provide analytical support for workforce-related business cases, cost optimization initiatives, and strategic planning.
  • Monitor key financial KPIs and workforce performance indicators to inform decision-making and highlight areas for improvement.


3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory

  • Act as a data analytics advisor to HR, finance, and business leaders, providing expert interpretation of workforce and financial data.
  • Partner with organisational design, HR and corporatestrategy teams to ensure data-driven insights support organisational development and talent strategies.
  • Maintain data quality, governance, and security standards to ensure reliability and compliance.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Business Intelligence, Economics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics with a strong focus on workforce and financial data.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel and Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard design.
  • Demonstrated success in developing predictive models and performing scenario analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical rigor with the ability to translate complex analytics into actionable business insights.
  • Exceptional communication and consulting skills.
  • Experience with workforce planning concepts (5 Bs and 7 Rights) and HR analytics.
  • Background in HR or close collaboration with HR teams is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to generative AI tools and their application in workforce analytics is a plus.
