The Senior Culture and OD (Organisational Development) Consultant (Civility) is responsible for implementing the Psychological Safety and Civility strategy for University Hospitals Tees (UHT), linked to the Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) agenda for cultural development. Supported by the wider Leadership and OD team and Cultural Development team, they will provide expert training, guidance and coaching support to colleagues from mixed professional backgrounds at all levels across the organisational structure of UHT.
The post holder will be overall responsible for the aligned Leadership and Improvement Facilitator (B6), whilst also supporting management and supervision of the Group-wide department in support of the Group Head of Leadership and OD, Group Head of Cultural Development and other Senior Partners.
The post holder will be one of 3 key liaisons, after the Group Heads of Leadership and OD and Cultural Development, within UHT for culture development and OD and they will work with external partners, learning providers and key stakeholders for UHT, in relation to the broad remit of organisational development and will ensure that local priorities are delivered for the Group.
They will lead on specific elements of the Group internal OD consultancy provision, whilst providing subject matter expertise around cultural development through an OD lens.
Must have access to a vehicle for work purposes to meet the requirements of the role.
Main duties of the jobProvision of educational session, relating to culture, leadership and management.
Provision of 1:1 and team coaching / mentoring.
Provision of internal OD consultancy to support teams/services around development of culture, team climate and performance.
To support peers and more senior colleagues within a 'matrix-management' structure and to role model high professional and interpersonal standards.
In addition to the Job Summary above, the post holder will be expected to lead specific areas of training delivery with minimal supervision and will be responsible for promoting a range of Psychological Safety and Civility related education opportunities and solutions to all staff through Organisational Development and aligned to leadership and management development training with senior learners and managers across UHT, whilst aligning to, and supporting the embedding of a culture that embraces civility, diversity and inclusion.
The post-holder will be required to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff across the Group, including senior practitioners, managers, health professionals and support staff. They will also be required to develop and sustain excellent working relationships with external partners for subject matter delivery and systems impact.

Person Specification Knowledge & Skills- Extensive knowledge of Cultural factors within a large organisation and how delivery of training and interventional support can positively develop organisational culture - with specific knowledge related to Psychological Safety, Civility and issues relating to the EDI agenda
- Delivery of education and training within OD and cultural development
- Extensive experience of designing and delivering training packages and OD interventions, spanning multiple subject disciplines
- Advanced organisational skills within training delivery, planning and evaluation.
- Demonstrable ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and maintain a customer-cenric mind-set (keeping the patient at the centre)
- Highly competent IT skills, particularly particularly across Office 365 applications
- A competent communicator and effective relationship builder
- Demonstrable ability to deliver high-quality work within a high-pressured and ambiguous environment
- Can effectively translate strategic goals/concepts into practical learning experiences
- Masters level qualification, or equivalent experience, in a subject related to the delivery of health care, health care leadership and management or organisational development.
- Relatable OD qualifications or demonstrable experience.
- Evidence of continual professional development
- Minimum L5 Coaching and Mentoring accreditation.
- Recognised teaching/training qualification
- Experience in acting in an OD Consultancy type role with multi-faceted improvement needs
- Experience in leading and managing teams
- Excellent and proven communication and organisational skills with a range of stakeholders
- Able to work under pressure and with ambiguity at peak periods against deadlines - organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and across teams
- Able to work autonomously and prioritise workloads accordingly
