Job Description
Overall Purpose of the Role 
The Antipiracy group combats piracy of TWDC's digital content and physical products in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This position works on substantive intellectual property legal issues, antipiracy and anti counterfeiting strategies.
Areas of Responsibility- Managing physical anti piracy programmes, including criminal, administrative, and civil legal procedures to address counterfeiting online and on the ground as well as other misuses of IP; supervision and management of outside counsel and investigators in multiple countries; ensuring an integrated approach to worldwide IP and enforcement issues while serving local needs.
- Managing online VOD and live enforcement initiatives across multiple EMEA markets, overseeing notice and takedown programmes, supervising civil litigation and criminal prosecutions against piracy services and their infrastructure, directing the work of outside counsel, and collaborating with co litigants.
- Counselling internal clients on copyright and trademark law, including the company's enforcement strategies, and providing ongoing support by advising on both individual cases and broader programme initiatives.
- Keeping current with the legal, policy, and technology landscape to ensure compliance and best in class solutions.
- Demonstrating diplomacy, strategic decision making, meticulous attention to detail, organisational and time management skills, consistently delivering impactful results across multiple high priority, high volume projects.
- Minimum of 7 years post qualification experience at a law firm or a combination of law firm and in house work, preferably handling intellectual property litigation/antipiracy matters and licensing, and excellent interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills.
- Substantial experience with laws governing the enforcement of intellectual property rights, in particular copyright, trademark, and legal and technological issues relating to enforcement and internet investigations.
- Knowledge of international intellectual property frameworks, and IP enforcement by border forces and law enforcement agencies is a plus but not required.
- Law degree from an accredited law school required.
This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.
