Overview 
Overview:A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Control Systems Consulting Engineer to join their growing UK Power team. This role involves delivering technically challenging projects across power generation, energy conversion, and transmission/distribution control systems, with opportunities across the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, manage and contribute to projects involving control systems for power generation, energy conversion and transmission/distribution networks.
- Develop conceptual design studies, cost benefit analyses and technical specifications.
- Act as Owner's Engineer and provide technical advisory/due diligence support.
- Support tendering, bids and proposals with technical input.
- Participate in FAT, SAT and commissioning activities on site.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
- Adapt to deliver additional technical capabilities as required.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (BSc/BEng minimum).
- Broad understanding of the UK electricity system and stakeholders.
- Experience in design, specification and delivery of control systems for power networks.
- Experience with battery storage systems is desirable.
- Experience in FAT, SAT or commissioning advantageous.
- Consulting experience is desirable.
- Ability to lead or coordinate project delivery.
- Goal oriented with strong problem solving skills.
- Adaptable, proactive and able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Good interpersonal skills; able to influence colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical and soft skills.
