This is a global capability, delivering to all markets and subsidiaries. Close engagement with Risk & Compliance in the second line is a success measure as they set the risk appetite, frameworks and bar for first line execution.

  • Partner with Risk & Compliance to drive growth.
  • Operate with a product and service mindset to deliver value to Risk Owners.

  • Elevate Monzo's control environment to greater maturity and scalability, pioneering a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Contribute to successful re platforming across GRC and regulatory horizon scanning tools.
  • Foster positive relationships across the three lines of defence, upskilling risk owners to take greater accountability for control processes, and promote a transparent risk culture.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional risk and control expertise from Banking, Financial Services or FinTech.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and tackle complex issues in matrix environments.
  • Strong track record in managing 1st line risk and hands on experience growing new business 'in control'.
  • A data driven control leader.
  • Thrives in fast paced settings, showcasing resilience, adaptability and exceptional execution skills.
  • Curiosity and collaboration, adept at asking insightful questions and quickly acting on new information.
  • Experience in process improvement, deploying AI, and/or working in scaling environments or tech companies is a plus.
