Job Description
Senior Contracts Manager Opportunity for an experienced Project / Contracts Manager with experience facing Rail Projects to join a rapidly growing business based in London, for a professional with the goal of moving up within the company over time.This will be a hands-on role that will reward effort, working model is office-based in the office in East London. Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project or Contracts Manager within rail infrastructure (mandatory).

  • Strong background in project delivery, including safety-critical environments.

  • Understanding of contract types (e.g., fixed price, cost reimbursable).

  • IT proficiency (Microsoft Office).

  • Must pass pre-employment and ongoing medicals, including drug/alcohol screening.

  • Desirable but not essential: Degree/HNC/HND in Project Management or related field.

Essential Experience:

  • Candidates must possess a strong background in rail infrastructure project management, either in a Project Manager or Contracts Manager capacity. Equivalent experience in similar high-compliance sectors (e.g., civil engineering, utilities, or construction) will also be considered if rail-specific knowledge can be demonstrated.

Project Delivery:

  • Full accountability for end-to-end project execution, including planning, resource allocation, access coordination, progress monitoring, and client reporting.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with critical milestones.

  • Proactively identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and establish contingency measures to maintain project continuity.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of key project documentation, including:

    • Risk assessments, method statements, and safe work packs

    • Construction phase plans and task briefings

    • Site records, progress reports, and KPI tracking

  • Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, client-specific standards, and company governance protocols.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead and mentor on-site and office-based teams, ensuring all personnel are appropriately trained and competent for assigned tasks.

  • Foster collaboration across internal departments and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and third-party suppliers.

Commercial Oversight:

  • Manage project budgets, procurement, and subcontractor agreements in line with approved processes.

  • Oversee change management, financial forecasting, and post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
