Senior Contracts Manager - Commercial Gas Bias

Location: Essex. Salary: £70,000 per annum plus company car. Permanent role.

Overview

We are recruiting a Senior Contracts Manager with a commercial gas bias to lead a multi disciplinary Technical Support team. The role focuses on winning business, pricing maintenance contracts, and delivering technical excellence across commercial HVAC, plant rooms, and energy centres. The successful candidate will act as a technical authority, manage contract reviews, renewals, and client relationships, and support small works design and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the multi disciplinary Technical Support team.
  • Carry out site surveys, pricing, and secure maintenance contracts.
  • Act as the technical authority across HVAC, plant rooms, and energy centres.
  • Deliver contract compliance, profitability, and service quality.
  • Manage contract reviews, renewals, and client relationships.
  • Support small works design, specifications, and technical delivery.
  • Conduct audits, fault finding, and performance optimisation.
  • Ensure compliance with HandS, SFG20, and industry regulations.
  • Progression prospect to Head of Technical Support.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong technical background in commercial MandE / HVAC.
  • Experience managing maintenance contracts and engineering teams.
  • Proven ability in quotations, surveys, and business development.
  • Knowledge of SFG20, compliance, and contract delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
  • HNC/HND or Level 3 trade qualification (or similar).
