This role supports major FPSO activity, including shipyard works in Dubai and long-term offshore operations in West Africa, working within the international Contracts and Procurement Team of a globally recognised oil and gas operator. Known for its strong safety performance, financial discipline and long-life asset portfolio, the company delivers energy across North America, the North Sea and West Africa. Based in Aberdeen with occasional travel to Dubai, the role involves end-to-end contractual support for both EPC and O&M scopes, with a focus on risk management, compliance, and commercial value. The contract runs initially until December 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing contract strategies and tender plans to support ongoing operational requirements.
  • Preparing and coordinating tender documentation, including prequalification processes and enquiry packages.

  • Drafting and managing contractual documentation in line with internal procedures.
  • Overseeing post-award contract administration, including variations, claims, amendments, and performance assessments.
  • Providing day-to-day advice on contractual and commercial matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Liaising with Legal, Finance, Tax, and Insurance Teams to resolve commercial and contractual issues.
  • Monitoring supplier activity and market trends to support procurement planning and vendor performance.
  • Developing and implementing KPIs to drive continuous improvement in contractor delivery.
  • Supporting EPC and shipyard activities by promoting contractual compliance, managing disputes, and reviewing claims.

About You:

  • Substantial and proven experience in a similar role, managing major contracts from inception to close-out for oil and gas industry operators, including construction and shipyard projects.
  • Skilled in negotiating and presenting contractual positions, including liabilities, indemnities, and insurances, with stakeholders up to senior management level.
  • Strong commercial awareness and data analysis skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organised and detail-focused, able to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team, with the ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working on international contracts, with the ability to interpret and apply country-specific terms and conditions.
