Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps and Cloud Engineer to lead efforts in automating Cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will focus on building automation for Cloud Landing Zones and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of cloud solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Manage and maintain a large-scale Kubernetes cluster deployed on AWS EKS, supporting critical production applications.
  2. Perform regular health checks and cluster monitoring to identify and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  3. Configure security best practices for cluster hardening and access control.
  4. Optimize cluster performance through resource scaling, efficient pod scheduling, and container image optimization.
  5. Enforce governance rules within Kubernetes using Kyverno, regulating resource usage, quotas, and access control.
  6. Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and management using Terraform with remote-state backends (e.g., S3, Cloud Storage).
  7. Develop reusable Terraform modules to promote maintainability and consistency.
  8. Implement security best practices within Terraform configurations.
  9. Optimize infrastructure costs via resource tagging and cost management tools.
  10. Document Terraform configurations and best practices to share knowledge.
  11. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash) to improve efficiency.
  12. Collaborate with developers and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment, rollback, and rollout of containerized applications using ArgoCD.
  13. Utilize Jenkins and GitLab for building and provisioning CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments.
Qualifications
  • Experienced AWS DevOps engineer
  • Proficient with AWS services like S3, Data Lakes, Glue, IAM, Data Pipelines, Lambda, QuickSight, Redshift, Fargate
  • Deep understanding of AWS services, especially EKS and data-related services (S3, RDS Postgres)
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform)
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices
  • Ability to support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of GitLab Runners
