Senior Consultant - Life

Our client, a leading global professional services firm with a well-established actuarial practice, is seeking aLife Actuarial Senior Consultantto join its Risk Consulting team on a permanent basis.

This role is based in Dublin and offers exposure to a broad range of life consulting and audit services, at a time of rapid expansion within the firm's life practice.

The successful candidate will work closely with actuarial teams across the UK and Europe, often on multi-service line engagements with Risk, Assurance, and Business Consulting colleagues. This is a strong opportunity to join a growing team and develop core technical life actuarial skills alongside broader consulting capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a growing team on a diverse range of client engagements, producing high-quality outputs to meet client needs in a timely fashion
• Develop core technical life actuarial skills, supplemented by general consulting skills through on-the-job training, coaching, and formal learning
• Promote learning and knowledge sharing across the project team and department
• Take a confident, credible lead in both client interactions and with junior colleagues
• Develop a professional network through multi-disciplinary projects across different service lines
• Provide opportunities to travel to assist other offices as necessary

Requirements

• Partly/Nearly Qualified Actuary, with a minimum of 3 years' professional experience in life insurance, reinsurance, or consultancy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Awareness of the challenges facing the life insurance industry
• Previous experience in at least one of the following: IFRS 17, Solvency II, Capital and Risk Management
• Professional attitude, confident dealing with clients, and comfortable managing multiple tasks to deadlines
