Job Summary:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology services organisation for a Senior Azure AI Consultant to join their specialist delivery practice. The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical expert in Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI, capable of designing and delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions for clients across a range of industries. This is a client-facing role requiring strong consulting skills, the ability to lead small-to-medium engagements, and a passion for mentoring and developing junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver high-quality Azure AI consulting engagements, acting as technical lead for small-to-medium customer projects end-to-end.
  • Design, implement, and operationally support Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI platforms, including model life cycle management and integration into client workflows.
  • Provide expert technical consultancy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex AI concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Manage identity, access control, and security configurations using Microsoft Entra (RBAC, Managed Identities) within Azure AI environments.
  • Contribute to the development of the consulting practice by mentoring junior consultants and supporting the continuous improvement of delivery methodologies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are consistently met.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a highly regulated environment designing and delivering Azure-based customer solutions, with extensive hands-on expertise in Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI.
  • Expertise in Python and PowerShell, with strong working knowledge of core Azure services including networking, security, storage, and resource management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra for identity and access management (RBAC, Managed Identities) in production AI environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a wider project team.
  • Essential certification: Microsoft Certified Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102).
  • Desirable: experience with Azure data platforms (Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, SQL) and exposure to regulated or high-security environments; certifications DP-600 and AZ-104 are advantageous.
