Job Description

I am partnered with a rapidly growing deeptech company harnessing artificial intelligence and multimodal data to transform the way drug discovery is done in immunology and inflammation.

Their proprietary AI platform is based on a cutting-edge foundation model that enables precise identification of therapeutic targets and biomarkers using diverse biomedical data-from genomics and histology to clinical and imaging modalities.

Your role:

As a Computational Biologist, you'll work at the crossroads of machine learning, computational biology, and drug development. You will:

  • Advance internal and external collaborative R&D projects aimed at identifying novel biomarkers, therapeutic targets, drug combinations, and indication expansion opportunities-leveraging cutting-edge multi-omics and clinical datasets.
  • Design and implement novel computational methods to analyze multi-modal patient data (genomics, transcriptomics, imaging, clinical records, etc.) with the goal of improving the accuracy of therapeutic insights.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the scientific and technical roadmap, ensuring they stay ahead in AI for biology and drug discovery.
  • Collaborate closely with academic researchers and biotechnology / pharmaceutical partners to generate novel hypotheses for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship on computational biology practices and reproducible research.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for biopharma and academic clients-understanding their scientific and technical needs, managing project communications, and translating complex biological solutions into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your Profile:

  • MSc in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience in a biotech or pharma setting as a Computational Biologist.
  • Strong experience working with multi-omics datasets and applying machine learning/statistical methods to biological problems.
  • Proven ability to engage with customers or clients in scientific or technical project settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex biological concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solid programming skills (preferably in Python)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience developing and deploying scalable ML tools in a biological context.
  • Familiarity with deep learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) is a plus.
  • Publication record in relevant computational biology or AI conferences/journals.
  • Knowledge of immunology and inflammatory disease biology.
  • PhD considered a +
