Job Description
Role: Cloud Data Platform Engineer (GCP)
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Duration: till end of the year 2026
Required experience
- Cloud & platform engineering
- 8+ years building, scaling and maintaining complex systems.
- 4+ years designing cloud and/or data platforms.
- Strong hands-on GCP experience, including BigQuery, GCS, IAM, Cloud Run and networking.
- Linux, Docker and Bash Scripting expertise.
- Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD
- 3+ years of production Terraform experience.
- Expert knowledge of GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience automating cloud deployments and operational processes. Observability & data
- 3+ years implementing enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Strong Dynatrace expertise across infrastructure, applications and data pipelines.
- Experience with JVM-based applications; Spark is highly desirable.
- Understanding of data engineering and data science concepts.
- Communication & leadership
- Excellent spoken and written English; Dutch is an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder communication and mentoring skills.
- Proactive, ownership-driven and focused on quality and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working on-site three days per week.
Nice to have
* Google Cloud certification.
* Experience with serverless architectures, FinOps or developer-platform "golden paths".
* Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, particularly GitHub Copilot.
