Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer - Relocation within Europe

For an European organization we are urgently looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer.

EU candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality is required). Work permits ar not provided.

Candidates need to be willing to relocate within Europe. Candidates need to be fluent in English.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube for efficient and automated software deployment;
• Provide deployment support across environments, leveraging Red Hat Cluster Manager for orchestration and Openshift/Kubernetes for containerization and application deployment;
• Configure and support ServiceMesh technology, ensuring secure and efficient service communication in microservices architectures;
• Handle deployments and builds in an on-prem VMware environment;
• Participate in design discussions and provide technical recommendations for CI/CD, infrastructure, and application deployment;
• Provide ongoing support for applications after deployment, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization;
• Leverage tools such as SonarQube for quality assurance, ensuring the integrity and security of deployed code;
• Provide hands-on support to the deployment team, including participating in troubleshooting sessions and reviewing infrastructure-related documentation;
• Interpret the application development, operations, and infrastructure implications of proposed solutions;
• Utilize architect solutions to implement end-to-end technology solutions that address client business challenges;
• Assess and optimize IT infrastructure, operations, and service delivery to improve efficiency and performance;
• Assist in designing and managing the implementation of new technologies, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project objectives;

Profile:

• Bachelor or University degree;
• years of experience in a relevant industry, business consulting, or technical consulting;
• Strong experience with Continuous Integration of Java applications with Maven (GitHub Actions / Jenkins / Maven / SonarQube);
• Advanced experience with container orchestration and deployment (Kubernetes, Service mesh, Helm);
• Strong experience with Artefact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus);
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure and cloud platforms;
• Strong interest in infrastructure technologies and willingness to learn;
• Experience in data networking technologies including protocols, design, security and business continuity preferred;
• Experience of working in an agile software development environment;
• Knowledge of security best practices and tools;
• Desirable:
• Experience in development of Java/Maven/SpringBoot applications;
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift;
• Experience with Azure Cloud provider;
• Experience with GitHub actions;
• Fluent in English;
