Our TechThe Deftpower platform is built in C#/.NET. We heavily use Azure Functions to keep our platform scalable. We adopt a microservice architecture where services communicate mainly via the Azure Service Bus. Data storage is done in various ways, most commonly Cosmos and Azure SQL databases. Monitoring and logging are done with Application Insights and Grafana, as well as PowerBI dashboards. The portal that interacts with the backend is written in Angular, while our mobile applications are developed in React Native. In general, we use Azure's PaaS components wherever possible to stay up to date and ready for scale.
About The JobYou'll be our very first Database Engineer, ensuring data stays fast, clean, and reliable while everything around it grows. Our platform handles millions of transactions every day. As we scale, you'll keep our Microsoft SQL and Azure SQL databases secure and performant.
- Design and maintain scalable Azure SQL and Microsoft SQL databases that run 24/7 without drama.
- Build smart backup and recovery setups.
- Keep data secure and compliant, working closely with our Security Officer.
- Collaborate with developers in Platform, Roaming, Transaction and Smart Charging to keep data flowing smoothly between teams.
- Set the standard for how we structure and manage databases as we grow.

- Salary range: Between €6000 and €7600 per month.

You'll Do Great Here If You- Have 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL and Azure SQL (cloud or on prem).
- Know Azure PaaS inside out: tuning, scaling, automating, securing.
- Like collaborating with developers and helping teams use data smarter.
- Have a valid work visa for the Netherlands and can join us in Arnhem a few times a week.
