Collaborative Research Team

We're looking for a full time Band 5 senior clinical research practitioner to coordinate and deliver clinical research studies at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).
If you are committed to providing high quality care to patients and helping them to make the right decisions about their treatment options, with the skills to guide and advise them throughout their research journey, this role could be for you.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can contribute to the development of research within our Collaborative Research Team.
This role will facilitate and support the research delivery in the following areas; gastro-enterology, colorectal oncology, colorectal non-oncology, surgical, hepatology, ENT, orthopaedic, burns and plastics.
Main duties of the jobYou will take a proactive approach in managing clinical research studies including developing study procedures and practice, gaining consent and approvals and recruiting patients, alongside clinical duties including providing the highest quality patient care and collecting and processing samples.
You will be instrumental in implementing study objectives and will provide dedicated support to ensure that studies are delivered to time and target. You will be the main point of contact for study principal investigators, sponsors and patients and so effective communication and team working skills are essential. You will be involved in ensuring that research undertaken at MFT safeguards the well-being of patients and is undertaken within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines. You will also have opportunities to showcase your work and will always be an ambassador of research at MFT, at internal and external events.
The key focus for this post will be delivering Collaborative research studies at Wythenshawe hospital. Occasional cross site working may be required at Withington hospital and Trafford General hospital.

Person specification Qualifications- Relevant degree in a science of health related discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience in clinica

- Substantial experience of working in a clinical or patient facing environment
