NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
The shift pattern for this post is rotational.
Senior Clinical Fellow positions are available at ST3 level or above from 6th August 2025 for 12 months. These posts are based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and may involve cover for off-site rehabilitation beds at Lightburn or Stobhill Hospital.
Opportunities exist within the department to gain further experience in General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Stroke Medicine. Clinical duties include ward responsibilities in Geriatric Medicine, clinics, rehabilitation ward rounds, weekend cover, and contributions to the General Medical on-call rota.
Applicants must possess full GMC registration. Completion of MRCP is preferred.
- Applicants who have not undertaken a UK foundation programme within 3.5 years of the advertised start date will need to submit a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST). This form must be completed by a consultant who has worked with the applicant for at least three months within the 3.5-year period prior to the start date.
