Job Description
Contract Senior Civil Engineer - Drainage & Highways Hampshire/Bristol or Cardiff offices - Hybrid Competitive Hourly Rate (Outside IR35 considered)
A busy civil engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Civil Engineer on a contract basis.
This role will focus primarily on residential and commercial development schemes, with an emphasis on drainage and adoptable highways design.
The RoleYou will be responsible for:
- Surface & foul water drainage design
- SuDS strategies and detailed design
- Flood Risk Assessments
- S104 drainage agreements
- S38 & S278 highway design and approvals
- Liaison with LLFAs, Environment Agency and Water Authorities
- Supporting projects from feasibility through to technical approval
This is a hands on technical role suited to someone comfortable working autonomously and delivering compliant, buildable solutions.
Software Required (some of - not all are required)- MicroDrainage
- Site 3D
- Strong experience in UK residential and/or commercial development
- Proven track record securing S104, S38 and S278 approvals
- Confident working independently
- UK-based with right to work
