The Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing professional civil engineering services, focusing on projects within the defence, secure infrastructure, and aviation sectors. You will be responsible for coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams, providing technical solutions, and overseeing the development of projects from concept through to completion. Strong project management skills and the ability to work within a process-driven environment are essential, along with the ability to manage technical packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the commercial and technical success of civil engineering projects.
  • Assist in promoting the company's civil engineering services.
  • Design practical and economic civil engineering solutions based on clients' needs.
  • Maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism in client and colleague relationships.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
  • Contribute to ensuring client satisfaction through professional conduct and project delivery.
  • Work collaboratively to maintain up-to-date project and fee records.
  • Prepare fee quotations to support the bidding process.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Attributes
  • Proven post-qualification experience in civil engineering, covering all aspects of professional activity.
  • Experience working with both public and private sector clients.
  • Strong understanding of building construction, Building Regulations, and related legislation.
  • A relevant degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Full Chartered Membership (or working towards it) of a professional body.
  • Active UK SC Clearance or the ability to gain clearance (essential due to the nature of the work).
