Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Bath

Salary: £50k-£55k plus benefits

Our client, a leading firm of consulting engineers based in Bath, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their expanding team. With a strong and growing workload, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, retail, and data centres, within an exciting and varied work environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with at least 5 years of UK experience, who is Chartered or working towards chartered status. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions and thrive in a collaborative environment, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and deliver a diverse range of civil engineering projects from design to completion
• Work closely with clients, contractors, and the internal team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Carry out site assessments, detailed designs, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• Ensure effective communication and project management across all stages of the project lifecycle
• Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring design integration and innovation

Key Requirements:

• At least 5 years' experience as a Civil Engineer within the UK
• Chartered status (CEng) with a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE) or actively working towards it
• Experience in a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, retail, and data centres
• Strong technical skills in design, analysis, and project management
• Excellent communication, client-facing, and team-working abilities
• Proficiency in design software such as MicroDrainage
