Senior Civil Design Engineer- wastewater treatment

My client, a specialist UK-based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their Civil Engineering Team based in Birmingham.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in Civil Engineering and have achieved or are working towards Chartered status.

Applicants should have experience working within a UK-based Consultancy on Clean Water and Wastewater Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure Projects for Water Companies or Contractors. As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you are required to have experience completing calculations and detailed designs for Clean and Potable Water Systems and Wastewater Treatment Facilities.

Applicants should reside close to Birmingham or be willing to travel there, as the role requires presence in the office a few times per week.

Beneficial skills include experience using AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Microdrainage, and Infoworks.

Responsibilities include completing calculations and detailed designs for Clean and Potable Water Systems, Pumping Stations, Combined Sewer Overflow, Pressure Pipes, Water Retaining Structures, and Wastewater Treatment Facilities. You will also amend technical drawings, liaise with contractors on-site, mentor team members, and coordinate with clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
