Job Description

Senior C++ Trading Systems Developer HFT Amsterdam Based (Hybrid) €250,000 + Bonus


Albert Bow have partnered with a leading global trading firm who are seeking a Senior C++ Developer to join its trading systems team. This firm operates on major exchanges worldwide and is a top player in the HFT, market making and liquidity provision. With a commitment to cutting-edge technology, they offer a high=performance infrastructure that competes with tier 1 firms while maintaining a lean and agile team.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Quant Researchers to develop and optimise trading systems across various markets.
  • This is a hands-on role that requires strong problem-solving skills, deep technical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a C++ developer.
  • Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C+ and newer).
  • Deep understanding of computer systems, including operating systems, networks, and performance optimisation.
  • Expertise in Linux.
  • Experience working with complex architecture and high-load systems.
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • A strong desire to learn and share knowledge with the team.


Nice to Have

  • Experience developing low-latency trading systems.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Knowledge of network stack (L1, L2, TCP, UDP).
  • Understanding of modern x86-x64 architecture.
  • Experience in competitive programming contests (e.g., IOI, ICPC, HashCode) or CTF challenges.
