Job Description

Partners Procurement Services (PPS) provides high-quality, compliant and customer-focused procurement services across multiple NHS Trusts, supported by modern systems, clear governance and a strong culture of collaboration.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Buyer to join PPS as we expand our clinical team to support Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust as they join PPS as a new member in April 2026. GOSH is an internationally recognised leader in children's healthcare, caring for patients with rare and complex conditions from across the UK and overseas.

Main duties of the job

You will deliver end-to-end buying activity for clinical consumables and devices, including sourcing, quotation exercises, supplier liaison, purchase order management and issue resolution. You will support contract compliance, catalogue accuracy and effective use of the P2P system.

The role plays a key part in maintaining continuity of supply during onboarding and, over time, you will work across the wider PPS resource pool, supporting multiple Trusts and categories.

About us

PPS offers the opportunity to work at scale while retaining a clear line of sight to patient impact. Supporting GOSH means contributing directly to world-class paediatric care while developing your procurement career within a shared service environment.

Whittington Health serves a richly diverse population and works hard to ensure that all our services are fair and equally accessible to everyone. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the way we look after our staff. We aim to employ a workforce which is as representative as possible of this population, so we are open to the value of differences in age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, sexual orientation, and religion or belief. The Trust believes that as a public sector organisation we have an obligation to have recruitment, training, promotion and other formal employment policies and procedures that are sensitive to these differences. We think that by doing so, we are better able to treat our patients as well as being a better place to work.
